This is from a gig with trombone virtuoso, and my friend, Robin Eubanks at Chris’s Jazz Cafe in Philadelphia. Robin and I went to school together and graduated in the same class. I used to practice tunes with both Robin and Kevin Eubanks on guitar, at their home when their twin brothers Shane and Dwayne were very young and running around all over the house. Their mom, Vera Eubanks, was a great musician and was Kenny Barrons piano teacher. Their uncle is Ray Bryant! It was great to reunite with Robin as well as the ultimate Philadelphia rhythm section here, Mike Boone on bass and Byron Landham on drums.
