This video was shot at the Kennedy Center with the Rufus Reid Quintet. I was honored to perform and record there for this date. This is Rufus Reid’s composition. He is a great composer, whose music has been an inspiration to me and so many. He is fearless and has embraced so many different styles and modes of composing, from Big Band to Orchestral, String quartets and then some. Rufus has been on almost all of my recordings. I love his playing and the musical chemistry we share. I think of him as a national treasure.
